Crime in Runnymede: statistics, rates and trends

Violence and sexual offences (2,777), anti-social behaviour (1,224) and public order (733) made up 60% of all recorded crime. Its crime rate ranks 155th of the 302 districts covered by this site (1 = highest), in the lower half.

Recorded crime in Runnymede peaked in the year to August 2021 (9,008 crimes) and was lowest in the year to August 2023 (7,028). Between the years to August 2018 and 2026 it fell 1%, in line with England and Wales.

The largest rises on the year were in violence without injury (+18%) and rape (+15%). The largest falls were in robbery of personal property (−29%) and theft from the person (−26%).
